The first chairlift of the morning is always the coldest, but the Rafferty Insulated Pant from Stio ensures the frost stays on the trees instead of creeping into the layers. Built with a high-loft synthetic fill that retains its heat even when things get slushy, these pants act as a fortress against the elements. The waterproof shell breathes as easily as the pace of a fast-moving run, while articulated knees move fluidly through deep carves or spontaneous snow fort construction. We’ve beefed up the cuffs with scuff guards to withstand the inevitable friction of jagged edges and icy parking lots, while internal grippers lock out spindrift. Whether the day calls for navigating technical tree lines or relentless sledding sessions, these pants provide the kind of reliable, fuss-free warmth that keeps the focus where it belongs: on the next descent.
