Granite scree, slick mud, and unexpected afternoon deluges shouldn’t dictate the pace of a long trek. Stio built the Ridgecap Waterproof Mid to handle the unpredictability of high-country transitions, wrapping your feet in a fortified yet responsive frame that thrives on uneven ground. The mid-cut silhouette anchors the ankle through lateral shifts, while the internal waterproof barrier seals out moisture without stifling airflow during high-output climbs. Beneath, a high-traction outsole bites into loose shale and packed dirt alike, working in concert with a vibration-dampening midsole to keep fatigue at bay long after the trailhead fades into the distance. Whether you’re navigating root-choked forests or boulder-hopping across shallow drainage, the reinforced toe cap provides a crucial margin of safety, all finished with a lacing geometry that cinches down for a precise, movement-ready fit. It is a refined approach to the rugged reality of the backcountry, giving you the security to focus on the next ridgeline rather than your footing.
