Kelty's Tru.Comfort Doublewide Sleeping Bag is built for that kind of trip — oversized through the shoulders, hips, and footbox, with enough room for two adults and whatever else finds its way in.

The real feature is the layering system. Two built-in blankets sit beneath a zip-off top layer, which means on cold nights you have genuine insulation options, and on warmer nights the top comes off entirely and you're sleeping under something closer to a light quilt. The Comfort-Tuck foot vents let either occupant open the bottom without disturbing the other, and the oversized hood fits a full-size pillow without bunching. CloudLoft synthetic insulation handles moisture better than down at this price point and keeps its warmth through the kind of damp nights that roll in off a lake or a river valley. It stuffs into an included sack and lives in the car until you need it.
