Since 31.8mm bars were the tried and true favorite of many riders, it took some time, but the stiffness afforded by a larger diameter bar is proving to cross over nearly seamlessly from one discipline to the other. With 10mm of rise, the Race Face Turbine R 35 10mm Rise Handlebar is responsive and quick, without sacrificing weight for stiffness, it manages to capture our attention and appeal to those of us who want to bang out as many miles as possible on flowy singletrack with control and power as you mash up mountainsides and across alpine meadows.

Constructed from cold-drawn 7050 aluminum, the Turbine R is seamless, stiff, and manages to even keep the weight at 300g, despite its lengthy 800mm width. While you'll find lighter carbon bars on the market that offer the same width, you'll be hard pressed to find something that lands in this price range, making the Turbine R an excellent bang for your buck. With similar construction to the standard Turbine, the Turbine R still features triple butted design and a shot-peened finish that ensures strength without adding bulk. The Turbine R, unlike the standard Turbine, is available in wider sizes to boost your control when you rally, with 780 and 800mm widths. At 10mm of rise you'll find XC-readiness that's responsive and quick to tackle the trail.
