Volkl Blaze 114 Skis 2026 w/ Look NX 12 Demo Binding - 166cm

Deep, untracked bowls and wind-buffed ridgelines demand a ski that doesn't just float, but actively carves through the chaos. Volkl engineered the Blaze 114 to be that rare breed: a lightweight tool nimble enough for technical skin tracks yet burly enough to charge through chopped-up afternoon leftovers. By integrating a 3D Radius Sidecut, these skis allow you to transition from tight, rhythmic pivot turns in steep chutes to wide, high-speed arcs on open faces without feeling locked into a single gear. The Hybrid Multi-Layer Wood Core keeps the weight manageable for long ascents, while the Suspension Tips and Tails act like a shock-absorption system, silencing the chatter when the snow turns firm or unpredictable. Paired here with the Look NX 12 Demo binding, you get a reliable, high-performing setup that is ready to tackle whatever the mountain serves up, from the first chair of a storm cycle to the final sunset traverse.

TECH SPECS

Volkl Blaze 114

• Terrain: Big Mountain, Powder
• Rocker Type: Tip & Tail Rocker: Bends up only in the shovel and tail zones, with a camber shape in the middle.
• Sidecut: 3D Radius Sidecut - Three radii in one ski shape deliver maximum versatility - long radii at the tip and tail for stability and smoothness, and a short radius in the mid-body allows the skier to switch from long arcs to short turns at will, at any speed
• Core: Hybrid Multilayer Woodcore Green - The Hybrid Multilayer Woodcore Green core is a very complex core that is used in the Blaze 114. Specially chosen light woods are picked both for sustainability and performance
• Laminates:
  • Suspension Tips and Tails: Inserts made of elastic TPU material on the edges of the tip and tail which act like a bumper in wind-blown or tracked snow. Its shock-absorbing elasticity ensures better stability and catch-free float.
  • Titanal Binding Platform: A thin Titanal layer (0.3 mm) under the binding delivers the necessary strength to the ski. This way the binding screws offer reliable hold even in the toughest condition
• Sidewalls: Full Sidewall: Direct and strong power transmission with full length sidewalls.
• Base:
  • P-Tex 2100: A sintered high-density and high molecular weight polyethylene base with great gliding characteristics and high durability.
  • Brushed Structure
• Tail Type: Partial twin
• Dimensions (Tip/Waist/Tail): 154/114/136 mm
• Radius: 15 m
