The mountain doesn’t ask for permission, so when the storm cycle delivers, reach for the Volkl Revolt 121. Paired with the low-profile, high-performance Atomic Strive 13 bindings, this setup turns the entire backcountry into a personal playground. The 3D Radius Sidecut is the secret sauce here, allowing you to transition seamlessly from smeary, intuitive turns in tight timber to locked-in, high-speed arcs on open alpine faces. With a multi-layer wood core bolstered by full sidewall construction, the ski feels damp enough to devour chop yet snaps back with an infectious, poppy energy when you find a natural booter or a wind lip that begs to be boosted. The directional twin shape encourages a playful approach to big mountain terrain, letting you throw tricks off natural features without sacrificing the stability needed to charge through variable snow.
