The YTV Personal Flotation Device is Astral Buoyancy's most minimalist whitewater PFD. Utterly simple and streamlined by design, this PFD strikes a powerful balance of protection and mobility. The foam panels sit low and close to your chest and back, wide arm openings ensure full range of motion, and ripstop materials feel feathery light. As a nod toward truly simplifying this PFD, Astral didn't even consider a front-zip opening, instead opting for a pull-over design that saves the few ounces a zipper would have cost. As with any properly executed whitewater vest, you'll find a couple of pockets and the always-essential lash-tab so you can secure a knife or rescue strobe to the chest. 

Since its creation in 2002, the Astral Buoyancy brand has widened its gaze from the rocky shores of North Carolina rivers to include coastal water and beyond. With this widening gaze, Astral's line of products has expanded to include a number of whitewater and gender-specific PFDs and a variety of boating accessories.
